Los Aparecidos is a video where, one by one, figures cross a threshold or “portal” at the water’s edge. Filmed in vibrant color from a low perspective on the sand, the video captures the ephemeral passage of bodies—adults and children—who seem to emerge from and disappear into the horizon.
