In-gallery documentation

Natural Circles: Rebirth and Ruin, (2024) is a multichannel video installation that juxtaposes nostalgic views of the past with the stark environmental realities of the present, creating a visual dialogue that explores the same space from both ethical and aesthetic perspectives. The installation contrasts mid-20th-century family vacation footage in 8 mm format with contemporary documentation of environmental challenges and natural disasters, all presented through a stereoscopic lens. Circular mirrors and sandbags subtly reinforce this juxtaposition, enhancing the viewer's awareness of the tensions between memory and crisis.
