Blue Velvet series
The Blue Velvet series revisits fragments of televised imagery —frames once seen and forgotten— reanimating them as material traces of collective memory. Each work transforms these overlooked moments into new temporalities: one through a stereoscopic reel (Blue Velvet Reel), and the other through a miniature vintage TV (Blue Velvet TV).
Together, they explore the emotional residue of the screen, a space where nostalgia, repetition, and technology converge in a quiet cinematic loop.
These works share a common impulse: to reanimate preexisting images through devices that once represented the future.

Blue Velvet TV, 2024
Experimental video (slideshow) in HD
Displayed on a miniature vintage TV
Edition: 3 + 2 A.P. (Artist’s Proofs)
This video is an animation derived from the Blue Velvet series, a collection of photographs sublimated onto metal. The images are fragments or discarded moments, randomly captured from TV screens showing series, films, and other media. These ephemeral frames, akin to the detritus described by Walter Benjamin, are recontextualized as photographs. From this collection, those sharing a similar essence are carefully selected to form a cohesive narrative, which is then transformed into video, breathing new life into these overlooked moments.
Blue Velvet Reel, 2024
Experimental animation in stereoscopic format
Includes a stereo reel and a stereo reel viewer for display
Edition: 3 + 2 A.P. (Artist’s Proofs)
This piece is part of the Blue Velvet series, a collection of photographs sublimated onto metal. The images are fragments or discarded moments, randomly captured from TV screens showing series, films, and other media. These ephemeral frames, akin to the detritus described by Walter Benjamin, are recontextualized as photographs. Selected images, sharing a similar essence, are arranged into a narrative sequence and translated into stereoscopic format. The work is presented as a stereo reel accompanied by a stereo reel viewer, inviting viewers to engage intimately with reimagined perspectives of overlooked moments, blending nostalgia with a cinematic experience.
